I just used gmod to play some of the half-life 2 single player, using the CS weapons against the combine. It was pretty fun, I was probably having more fun then I should actually have. Unfortunetly, loading next level data inside the game takes a looong time, and it removes the category for the weapons from the spawn menu, and strips you of any CS weapons too.
I think it would be really fun, to go through HL2 with the CS weapons, even give the combine some of them (no sniper rifles!). Give the cops random cs pistols, give the millitary the SMG's, and the elite/prison the rifles (maybe intermix them with the regular HL2 weapons for the combine).
I never heard of any such mod like this (Smod comes kinda close, adding an AK and MP5), and I think it would be fun and add a pretty intreasting new dimension to single player.
Somebody think about it would you? Please?
