Is there any mod manager or something to manage the growing HL-2 mods that is coming out? There so much map packs out there and after extracting we have to manually put them in their respective folder which is so freaking tiring and sometime you are prompted whether u want to replace certain files which are of different sizes. Please, any mod manager? I guess i have to re-install HL-2 because all the map packs installation messed up my HL-2. Damn

Most of the good mods should install in to your Sourcemods folder and appear in the Third Party list of Steam.
If it's just standalone maps, there's not much you can do.

Just delete your map folder, Warrior. No need to reinstall.

Also some mods come with installers which recognise a registry key and automatically install themselves to the right folders.

Mod Manager? What's wrong with the Steam 'play games' list?

Now i got the sven coop mod (third party game) at steam... does it require Half-life 1 to play? i got only HL-2

hmm...a mod manager?
sounds like a neat idea...the catch tho is, that u want the mod manager to handle even the newer mods coming out and not just the ones which have been released already.
perhaps this is an idea someone in the community can run with and get whatever help from the respective mod teams.

He's talking about MODs that arent out yet.
Warrior, I'd say ModDB manages them pretty well.
