When i try to sign in on msn, i get a message saying the service is currently unavailable, but i can log in on a mates account... wtf?

can certain peoples msn addresses not work? =/

Same thing happens to me man! Thats why I havent ever been on. I get a dam error message every time I try to sign on...in case your wondering why I haven't been on lately

Anyone having any issues signing into MSN after the latest updates from Microsoft (I'm assuming this is what caused it).

Close MSN by exiting from the systemtray icon, run this registry file:

And in addition to this wonderful useful and very appreciated post from Baal (you can calm down now Baal, you've got recognition), i'd just like to add the following: -

Accounts are spread accross a number of account servers. Some go down whilst others stay up. If someone else can sign in whilst you can't, then it's not guaranteed to be a problem with your PC or your client. Use webmessenger to see if you can sign in from there. If you can, then your client is probably to blame, and i'd try Baal's config-clearing recomendation. If you can't, then just be patient and wait for the server holding your account to get back online.

I was fine until someone in this very thread where I linked the fix continued to say they were having the same problems.

Then I got angry.
