I dunno if this has anything to do with my wireless network connection that I just set up but I was trying to play Counter Strike and Day of Defeat and in all the games I try to connect to, everyone's a spectator! There was one game where there were 3 people in the game total but then 15+ spectators... what's that all about? Anyone know what the problem may be?

Lol, server fillers :D They're just bots, so it seems the server looks (pretty) populated. They get kicked one by one when players join.

Are you also sure you aren't on the 'spectate' tab on the server list, rather than the first tab. Search whatever it is....to the left of Favourites.

Well, I'm definitely not on the spectator tab. And I've never had this problem before with the "bots". I haven't played DoD or CS in about a good month at least but last time I played it I didn't have to look for a server with players :p

Also what happens is sometimes when double clicking to join a server the little window pops up (the one that usually pops when a game is full and you can join automatically when a slot is available) saying there's no one in the game and my ping spikes all the way over 1000. Whhaaaa? Tis frustrating.

On the steam server selection screen, right click on the top of it (The line that says "Name | players | maps | ping") and select "bots". Then, join only servers with no bot symbol.
