This does seem a little stupid as a thread, so feel free to delete it if you wish... I'm sorry about this, it's just that Múm's song Weeping Rock, Rock [From the album Summer Make Good] makes me think of Half-Life 2 and indeed playing the game makes me think of the song. I believe it's because I first started playing the game and also listening to the album at a similar point in time, and because the introductory samples of the song bear a more than striking resemblance to the intercom noise heard just after the heart monitor noise (that goes up an octave) when a Civil Protection officer is killed.

If you get the chance, do listen to the song, you'll know what I mean, it sounds so similar, only a tiny bit more musical.:)

I'm sorry if something like this has already been posted; I did search...

Anyway, my point is, is anybody else's gaming experience tied to a particular piece of music (other than the game's soundtrack, of course)? Please share...

Hmm, there is one that reminds me of HL1, it's called "Didgeridoos" by Aphex Twin...
I think it's the weird chirping noises that remind me of the game, becuase they sound like some of the aliens I guess.

All I can think of atm...

But I see what you mean with that Weeping Rock song, neat stuff :)

Armand van Helden's You Don't Know Me always reminds me of Blast Pit.
Yes that's in HL1, but I don't care. I'm mad, me.

[Response to Idonotbelonghere]: Ah yes, Didgeridoo's a good track. Though I'll have to admit, I don't have HL1. I was considering buying HL:Source though, as you can buy it from Steam now...

Weeping Rock, yes - I just go mad everytime a CP officer dies, or I listen to the song. It's a great feeling. Glad you see where I'm coming from, though. :)
