should I upgrade for half-life2?

Upgrade if you want to run HL2 on max, if medium is ok for you, then stick with what you've got

You have to ask yourself, "Do I want to play HL2 at max details with FSAA and AF on?" If you can answer that then can decide for yourself if you want to upgrade to a new card or not.

WHy the hell should he upgrade his harddrive ? 40 gig 7200rpm is wwwaaayy more than enough unless HL2 will take 10gigs or something lol

You might consider getting another 256 ram because 256 alone is not enough for HL2 moster..ya and get radeon9700 or Nvidia Fx because NvidiaTi4200 wont do good

It would do fine what are you smoking? When they said RECOMMENDED was 2000+ and a 128 mb card, that doesn't mean you need to buy $400 products.

I think you'll be OK. But if you decide to upgrade your card you might want to wait till Sept., like me. Hopefully they'll get cheaper by then.

that should be fine. Your only problem really is the video card, and a 128 meg gf4 should be enough. Im running on a duron 900, gf2 mx 400, and 256 pc133 ram(running at 100). I'm getting a new computer before september 30 so i dont need to worry.

I had money for this upgrade:

MSI 875p NEO
Intel Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz, 512 MB RAM
MSI GeForce MX440 SE-T
256 Bit 3d and 2d graphic accelerator.
So what is better config?My or this down?

MSI GeForce MX440 SE-T - that will cripple your system graphically, stick with your Ti 4200 if you cant get another card

Well i can get ATI Radeon 9800 pro with 258 or 512

i'm assuming the MSI card is a GeForce 4 MX 440. The 9800 pro is the one of the best cards you can buy, the MX 440 is quite frankly a pile of shite.

Go for the 9800 pro 256MB version if you can afford it, true, not many games will utilise the extra memory but HL2 is supposedly being patched for cards with more memory
