My G-Man Theory

Here we go :)
It's interesting reading others' responses. A lot of my theory has come from pulling many many many different theories, evidence and general assumption. I encourage people to look for more evidence on their theories. It's really interesting reading these different theories.... no matter how far-fetched they are :)

Gman is actually John Kerry, using Gordon and his time-abilities to retake election 2004.

Yeh caz Bush is " 73H 1337 H4xx0|2 " and Kerry is " 4 n00bz00r "

On topic, please!!!!!!!!!! I don't want this locked!

sry....anyways another theory....Gordon is just ****ing crazy and the G-Man is a figment of his imagination and the time between HL 1 and HL 2 is when Gordon goes on a cocaine and Vodka bender in mexico winding up in a mexican prison singing la cucaracha and Hes actually just wandering around the mexican desert pretending he has a gun. Thats actually more plausable than some theories ive read. "GORDON IS A YOUNG G-MAN OMFG !!!11!!one!!1!" rofl!

g-man is the tyler durton (brad pitt) from the Film "fight club".
and gordon freeman is eddie norton . ROFL.

Not entirely related, BUT does anyone think it's at all significant that the G-Man calls Gordon DOCTOR Freeman for the first time at the end of HL2 - at the beginning, it's stil "Missster Freeman". I wouldn't want to read too much into things, obviously but it just caught my attention...

It was said that you would win hl2 by "being the better scientist", perhaps gman feels that you have now earned your 'doctor'.

Actually, this is the most coolest doctor I ever played. :D (because there is only one, stupid!)

Don't know if this was brought up before or not in another thread, but an alternate definition out of Webster's for "half-life" is :

"a period of usefulness or popularity preceding decline or obsolescence"

This could be Gordon. He is currently in a position of use to the GMan, his employees, the bidders, whoever it may be. And when his time comes, he will just fade away out of existence. Gordon's time of usefulness and popularity is now, and when Gman is done with him, he will probably kill him. (or life on Earth will be back to normal and Gordon can live a normal life with Alyx and their small children.

nice theories, but some of them are what i would consider to be too complicated for a majority of half life 2 players to uderstand or figure out through the game, what i mean is that it would wreck the game for G-man to be all mysterious though hl1 and 2 and then in hl3 just monologue his entire intentions to you as such a theory would require

I think it will be something that is not what we have thought of (or maybe it is) but will be simple enough for everyone to sit back and say "Wow. now that makes sense!"

In movie making and gaming alike, its better to have a probable impossiblity than a improbable possibility, and having g-man as a advocate of natural selection and whatnot is more of a improbable possiblity.

heres a great theory!

gordon wakes up and goes "holy crap that was the most whack dream ive ever had, id better stop smoking the chronic!"

Or hes in a coma, computer trial mabe in a time warping sleep. More evidence to back up my theroy :frog:

thats a good thing to find.

i think that refers to the pattern that gordon is in.
he is kept in stasis "decline, obsolescence' then used when he is needed by g-man "a period of useullness"

its probably got double meanings but, as the scientific meaning of half life is also applicable to the whole situation, as the problem was born in a lab.

Could be anyone like G-Mans son.....mabe he was a doctor or head of the experiment and its his child or just his creation of his...
