Hi guys,

hopefully i didn't post this thread in the wrong board, and if I did i'm sorry.
Well i made a HL2: Lost Coast video, takes you through the whole game ( 7 min video) If you haven't played the game yet then don't watch video because otherwise it will be a spolier. I'm running the game on my Pentium 4 3.0 GHz :1 gb ram and 6600 GT 128 MB PCIEX16. The video is roughly 92 mb in file size.

Thank you Homie, but why have you make this? Whats it demonstrating thats different to me or someone else loading the game up right now? Just curious...

I'd watch a "every setting on" hl2:LC video ..I barely make the minimum specs, it'd be interesting to see what I'm missing

thats the reason i'm posting this thread. I had everything on high including hdr.

but you have a 6600 GT which is just slightly better than my 9800 pro

Slightly? There is a huge diffrence. My friend has a 9800 and i have a 6600 gt, and he was getting 20 fps when i was getting 60 fps when we both had video settings the same and we were in the same server. That was for bf2

hmmm the benchmarks I've seen say they're pretty similiar ...nothing like what you're claiming ..I'll dl it when I get a chance and see for myself :)

No offense, personal preference, I didn't like the way you RAN through that video you made, it's like you had ants in your pants, you, well first of all the music is a nice touch, but it would have been 100% better if you let the fisherman talk instead of running into him and doing laps all over the place and not staring into him while he talked, also the fact that you rushed, biggest part that I shut the video off near the top of the cliff, was that you just rushed the combine and didn't let them rappel down, this would have shown people who can't run the game nicely like you what they're missing, especially the voices and such. Oh well.

Was that easy-mode or something? No wonder you can rush through it, enemies barely seem to hurt you and the chopper went down after 2 rockets.

Then the settings must've been vastly different because I've used both. First of all, ATI has a large advantage in HL2. With AA and AF disabled, a 6600 GT is a bit faster than a 9800 Pro. With 4xAA/16xAF, the 9800 Pro I used for a year outperformed the 6600 GT. Who runs a 9800 Pro or above without AA/AF though?
