US nickels are made out of alloys (but include some nickel). The type metal is not relivant..
US Coins:
Penny (1 cent)
Nickel (5 cents)
Dime (10 cents)
Quarter (25 cents)
Half Dollar (50 cents)
Dollar (100 cents)

There are, of course, rare coins worth odd amounts. In the show (Scrubs), a solution was found using a dime worth 29 cents. But this is not the real soultion.

Is the answer to the very first one "Time".

Meh "Nothing",, that doesn't make since. Especialy if he is talking about being poor in American.

The majority of poor people in american have a 2-3 bedroom and bath house with at least 1-2 cars. I dont call that nothing.

No. The answer to the first one is "Nothing". It was already answered.

Hm. I gotta go. Well, we'll see if someone gets this while Im gone. And if anyone remembers the answer from the eppisode, please, keep it to yourself ;)

A Quarter and a nickel is the answer.

Yakuza is right.

The answer is a nickel and a quarter because yes, one isn't a nickel... but one is.

Correct you are. I'm inclined to believe you've heard this before.

No, actualy my answer was edited. I orginaly said it was a quarter and a dime. meaning that you could get thirty cents out of it. then I was like no that seems to vague, its impossible you cant get 30 cents if ONE IS NOT a nickel....then it hit me that doesn'y mean the other one cant.

Thats not a riddle..thats just maths lol
It has nothing to do with math. The crux of the riddle is worldplay. Seeing the solution, its easy to say "oh, thats obvious",. but I have posed this riddle to many people and mr christian here is the first one to ever get it right.
