It's slightly late, but...
Anyway, if you don't know what this is: It's the National Novel Writing Month (has nothing to do with nationality) It's a 'contest' in which the only objective is to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of november. If that sounds easy, keep in mind that 50,000 words is about 200 pages double-spaced. To do this you have to write an average of 1667 words a day (If you just start now, you'd need a quick jump of 6000 or so this weekend to catch up).
It's fun, I promise. And you really get a sense of accomplishment out of it, even if you had to stomp on the plot with big iron boots to make it fit into fifty thou words.
Website was pretty slow last time I checked, they got hammered when it first started up this November... but anyway it's nanowrimo.org
