So i got this assignment in World History to compare 2 viewpoints of 2 document/speeches of 2 different persons of some event in history. I choose WW2 because i find it the most intressting and easiest. So i thought about Churchils viewpoint on invading italy before anything ells and what the rest of the alliance thought of it. However, the assignment specificly says i need copies of the 2 document/speeches which im having a hard time finding. I cant find even quote from the leaders of WW2 talking about his. I have a book describing it, but i dont want to copy a whole book down by hand :/

Can anyone help me with this? Maybe there is something ells i can do instead?

(EDIT Yes, i misspelled Assignment in the title....)

HAHA... ASSIGGGGGMENT... LOL

seriously though cant help ya :/

Did you type assignment with your face? :P But anyway, sorry, I can't be of any help with you there. I suggest you pick different speeches that you've already found and do them.

That's what I would do. I picked the easiest things in school to do, since it's not like a college or anything is going to recognize you picked hard things to do in high school. \=

Two people now, or two people living at the time?

Because it sounds to me like what you actually need to look at is historiography. Half of history is people arguing about what caused what/to what extent was this responsible for that/was whatsisface this kind of leader or this kind/people's revolution or coup d'eta/etc.

In which case conflicting Structuralist and Intentionalist viewpoints on the statement "No Hitler, No Holocaust", or on whether Hitler was a 'strong' or 'weak' dictator, would be a perfect subject!

If not try whether to take out all of France first or push on Paris during the latter half of 1944. Or western europe: whether to appease Hitler or fight him pre-war.

This speech is one by Churchill from july 1940. In it is the famous quote "never has so much been owed by so many to so few". This speech (scary site btw) is by Hitler from december 1940. In it he talks a lot about the British. Should offer enough input for your assignment.

make it easy ..find Bush's state of the Union address before the invasion of iraq ..feb 2003 and compare that to Saddam's statements on his (nonexistant) possession of WMD

Damn, Sulks beat me to it with the Historeography and all that jazz!

You can do the Holocaust with differing views on why Hitler did it, most WWII assignments like this can be best done with the German section of the war, more debated really

July 6th 1944 Bombing Attempt by Stauffenber et al is another very good choice

Theres been a few times when I've wanted to a piece of work on something I find really intresting but it being way to hard to do, so I've always just scrapped it and gone for the easier one, or the one with lots of information, etc etc. In the end, I'd rather have the good grades over something I would of enjoyed doing but would of done badly and scored less.

Thanks for the great help from you guys, i will work over it on the weekend. :)
