New Crysis Screens

The problem is the horrible sense of deja vu i'm getting that i just can't get rid of :(
damn you Far Cry

I'm just not impressed tbh. I expect more of the next generation of videogames, not just some flashy screenshots.

But I'll probably be wrong, it'll be better if I see some movies.

That's fantastic. I hope the gameplay is as good as the graphics.

Okey, so the graphics are awesome, can we please start concentrating ourselves on making good music, atmosphere and gameplay, pherhaps?
I'm not saying that this game in particular may be all about graphics, but lots of games are and I have high doubts this game will be any different.

wow!!!........its very close to be a movie graphics.

I agree ...more in depth gameplay ..less graphic overload ....but it's not going to happen ..here's why: games have very little shelf life (unless you're a AAA title) ..developers need to sell a lot of copies in there first 2 weeks of release or else the game loses money ..recouping losses over the long term may not be good enough (Troika, vampire bloodlines) so developers are ever increasingly relying on graphics to draw in big numbers on release day ...almost every big seller owes a big chunk of it's initial success to how good it's graphics are ..FEAR sold extremely well ..but how well if the graphics were mediocre? Take a ww2 stragety game like Hidden and Dangerous 2 ..even though the gameplay was more than any other ww2 game offered it sold poorly in comparison to Pacific Assualt which had superior graphics but inferior gameplay

I know. It's a sad world we live in.
I guess the only thing we can do by protesting to this is to play old games with graphics that today are way beyond outdated.

*Starts up StarCraft*

It's interesting that technically, how vastly rewritten DX10 is supposed to be with increased speeds being reported as devs have more time to optimize MORE for FEWER diff setups as the difference between different vendors have reportedly been minimized by DX10(Or atleast so has that been Microsofts goal), if you have a DX10 card it could theoretically give you better FPS with the DX10 than with the DX9 one...:)
However, this game, is one of the main reasons I'm waiting for the Windows Vista+GOOD DX10 GPUs to come out until I buy my new comp, and yes, in this case I am a grafixzwhore, I think it's okay to be it sometimes!

Notice the shadows coming from the drum to the right, they look AWFULLY blocky, either it's a bug with the softshadows or it's simply the way they're handled on the DX9 render that causes'em to look like that from different perspectives etc.:)

Looks bloody insane, defenently worth to buy a new comp just to run this game decently :D

Looks nice, but like others have said, graphics alone mean nothing to me. Hopefully it's fun but it's way too soon to tell that. I know I won't go near windows vista though, so I have no intention of playing this game ever. I'll loose zero sleep over that fact.

Holy shit! Pesmerga found his old avatar!

Nice screens too. ;)

Wow @ the new screens. Dude holy shit. Im really starting to worry. If my fx55 and 7800 GTX i should get DECENT FPS. I hope so. I will be getting vista and a dx10 gpu but not untill it comes out, sounds like this game is coming out way before vista :/

Anyone who knows or belives they will show lots of new Crysis stuff on E3?

Doesn't look much better than stuff that's out already.

Also, that indoor/hut scene looks like crap.

Thats right, but I dont think the texture work is in focus for Crysis, the physics, environments, lights and polygons are though :P

...:O

No one's honestly buying this game for it's gameplay I don't think.

I dont give shit about Gameplay, but i know it will be insane. Thats ****ing insane holy shit! I mean GFX OWN! GAMEPLAY OWN! Story SOUNDS like it OWNS!

looks pretty EXTREME

so the game's being simultaneously developed for dx9 and 10?

sounds risky

Im sure it wont run nearly as good on dx9 but on dx10 it will be a blast. I wouldnt worry. WHen Crytek released FarCry it was way ahead of its time and it ran great. CryTek guys really know there tech.

Rofl just found this on a forum

QFT.. It's a big fat A* bonus if the gameplay rocks.

and for anyone who still thinks this will blow your computer up

Bernd Diemar:
"Everything you've seen has been running on DX9 and normal hardware you can get in the shops right now. It's all normal spec and doesn't even use a dual processor or anything like that, we don't have any special graphical hardware inside these boxes. However, with DX10 and a dual core CPU, you're going to see something very special indeed. When we compare Far Cry to Crysis we're talking about two to three levels better in terms of generations, but if you compare DX 9 to DX10 it's at least a generation better, so there's a tangible difference, visually as well as from the intensity."

:O what the hell are DX10 screens gonna be like

Looks nice. But quite frankly I'm not a jot interested in the graphics. Far Cry wowed me with graphics, now lets see Crysis do something great in terms of gameplay, atmosphere and story. I'm not sure it will though.

Every single next-gen game looks amazing. What makes Crysis different , well , for now , nothing.

What makes Crysis different? Are you crazy, besides the fact it is next/next gen. Nothing can touch Crysis as of now in terms of GFX/effects/options.

But that's it. Graphics don't impress me anymore...it isn't going to make the game. Bottom line is you can almost smell the fact that Crysis will not bring anything new to the table gameplay wise.

that may be, however techwise it launches the platform for new games that combine tight gameplay with tight graphics.

Come on, No quake, no Half-life

From my perspective detailed environments are very much tied into gameplay.. immersive visuals and interactive detail, obstacles, extra physics detail as a result of that.. plays a hudge part linked with gameplay the two try to compliment each other, and im much more exited when I see one of those aspects is outstanding, then all you need is for the other to match up and bingo, you can't truely treat the aspects as being totally individual they all play off each other.

I CAN'T wait to see some reviews / news of the next Gen Graphics card with DX10

any news if this game going to support dual Core CPUs, in other word, using D-cpu going to increase the effects on screen
