Hi, i am currently interested in creating my own Counter-Strike: Source maps. I have looked at a few turorials and since I am new to map making and the types of files and programs used, I am pretty confused. I need some kind of help that will start me from the beginning so i understand what these tutorials are talking about.

I have some programs that I saw I needed to make CS:S maps. These are: Valve Hammer Editor, Source SDK, Blender, and Wally. As I said I am having trouble understanding how to use these and what to do with certain files, basically I am just clueless.

I know that maybe I dont even know enough to even try to make maps, but I really want to learn, and I need a guide that speaks my language. I am not a newb to computers, Its just these certain programs that I cannot use without a proper explanation about them and the files they use.

Thanks in advance, and I hope a proper answer is out there somewhere :)

Been over two years since I started my job as Mapping Help Slave, and I've come to realize (albeit not accept) that A) There Will Always Be Nubs, and B) They Will Never Search For Solutions.

So, as long as we hang around these forums, we're going to be answering the same questions with the same answers over and over and over and over...

Interlopers isn't very noob friendly (aside from the tutorials) :D

thats what I'm saying, the tutorials are class

Yeah, but noobs can't read, therefore they will not see the 'tutorials' section and head straight for the forums (they have a forum direction sense or something) where they will be blasted into itty bitty bits :P
