Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey is an adventure game for the PC that continues the epic journey that began in the critically acclaimed and award-winning adventures The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey.

Independently produced and funded by Red Thread Games, this project brings back the core team behind Dreamfall, including Ragnar Tørnquist, creator of The Longest Journey saga.

$20 pledge promises a digital copy of the game at launch, limited to 5000 copies. $25 dollars gets you the same thing but isn't limited. Clever.

I'm only a bit into the first game, it's interesting in a "how did I miss this awesomeness" kind of way.

The Longest Journey was truly wonderful, but Dreamfall simply didn't work--its narrative lacked the personality and finesse of the first game, and it wasn't a successful transformation of the point-and-click gameplay either.
