New Mod Team

Hello Modders,

My name is Lewis, i'm a 21 year old male living in England and i'm looking to start a mod team.

I've been mapping for about 6 years using HL1 / HL2 and specialise in buildings and architecture.

The mod team i want to create will start off with 1 person from each field i.e. 1 mapper, 1 texture artist, 1 coder etc...

The first mod we create is up for discussion by the team apart from the fact that i want it to be a short Single Player to see how we get along and work together, i have my own ideas but it's best if we know what skills the team has before we decide on anything.

If all goes well then the next mod we do will also be up for discussion and this time anything goes, SP, CTF, DM etc...

It doesn't matter what level you are at to apply for this mod team, you may be better than you think or you may just need some pointers so let me know.

Even though i said 1 of each field that doesn't mean that more people can't join, that's just how many people i want till we start working on the mod, if someone applies who is better than the person we already have then we won't kick out the person we have, instead we will ask them to work together and help eachother out.

Just a word of advice, most people who know what they want to make, are doing so. You'll have a better chance of finding people if you come up with a really solid and well-thought out idea.

True, but i'm looking for people who don't know what they want to do.

I should have said this before, i don't want anyone to join with a whole mod already planned out, the main point of this mod team is to put together a small mod that we're all happy with, to see if we can work together and create the same vision for the finished article.

After the team is together and first mod complete, we will have a good idea of what we're all capable of, we will know each others limits and skills, then we can decide what type of mod we want to create as our main project.

Ok, this is a very early WIP on a map I started a little earlier.

I'm basically making it up as a go along trying to include a little bit of everything, entity-wise. It's been a while since I used Hammer 'properly' so it's a nice change at the minute!

i think its a great idea to all decide on what the mods about only i think youll find it very hard to find team members. you can always join with me as i could do with a second pair of hands. only progress is slow at the moment as im learning c++.

Yes it may be hard, but this is the kind of team i wanted to join and couldn't find, so i had to start my own.
