What new bands have you recently added to your ipod? I recently added a band my friend at umvd told me about. They are a Australian band called the Casanovas. Check em out at myspace.com/thecasanovas

The Postal Service. Kind of an emo-ish Freezepop.

Nice upbeat music :)

I'll have to get a CD.

Unlike you illicite music downloaders, I purchase all my music on CD's. MP3 quality is horrid, so that throws out (most) bands with free dl websites.

EDIT: Oh yeah, a band :P

The Deadly Snakes are pretty good. Heard some of their stuff on a podcast :)

Freezepop? I was talking to someone about this the other day, what's with all these new weird genre names popping up? I recently heard a local show referred to as goregrind, how stupid is that.
I guess the newest band I've added is Okkervil River, the album Black Sheep Boy is fantastic

Horrid? Hardly
I wish I could afford to buy CDs, I pretty much only buy stuff from local bands, or any band I really like/respect

Recently added the Libertines, Babyshambles, the Spinto Band and the Paddingtons.

Check em out :)

Some great selections of tracks there, especially Nina Simone.

I recently put Explosions In The Sky's 'The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place' onto my dads iPod as I use it for walking. And believe me, this album is great for walking around in the cold, still, peaceful night...

Against Me! - Don't Lose Touch

Much better than the name sounds. :D

Reinventing Axl Rose is such an amazing album, I find Searching For A Former Clarity very disappointing

Some dance song I heard on a WoW video. I have absoutely no idea what it's called, but it's really good. :p Though I'd guess from the lyrics it's called The Other Side. Also added some Prodigy and Leftfield on today before going out, now my poor little ipod mini is full.

A few songs from a band I only recently heard of - A New York band called Slowlands, doubt anyones heard of 'em.

Cool. Haven't heard anyone mention them in forever.

Just got 69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
Sooooo so so so disappointed
I heard such good things about it!
I'll give it a complete listen on the subway tomorrow though

Oh! And I downloaded TV on the Radio's OK Calculator. There are only about 300 copies, it was burnt and distributed by the band in like 2002, so the only way to get it is to download it.
Anyway, it's got a few good tracks, but for the most part it's pretty (extremely) lo-fi (recorded on a four track) and goofy. As a huge fan it's a lot of fun to hear their old stuff

Do they also have an album called "The Twists" or "Child 1" :D

I know one of the members of Little'Ans, it turns out, so I added them, as well as The Frames and Super Furry Animals.

I thought you were saying it's a genre, my bad

Oh, quite all right.

*calls death squad to cancel*

But yes, I understand. I think people are just making up these names for genres as they go along.

Oh, and I just added some more Milk Inc. Fun stuff.

Ulrich Schnauss' new album "Far Away Trains Passing By"
