Updates to the Steam Client have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Steam Client

* Reverted German content changes
* Improved download speeds when downloading large updates

so exactly how fast is "faster"

i can only get 1.1Mbps through steam althuogh my conection goes up to 3.1Mbps

We know they are coming... Obviously they are preparing for it.

No real surprises here

I hope to see a speed difference when LC or DOD:S is released! Though I don't have that great of speed to begin with.
