Nintendo DS - a handheld console for the girls?

When ever someone talks to me about a DS, its always said by a girl. Then I've thought about the other consoles we have. Most of them are mostly masculine.
So I ask you, halflife2.net, do you think the DS is more for females?

Like Ren.182 said before, it's definitely got more games suited towards girls compared to the PSP. The ratio of DS to PSP is like 9:1 for girls and 6:4 for guys in Hong Kong.

Also, girls here love anything Mario-related here ... moreso than Nintendogs or whatever.

Nintendo DS is subscribed as a hormonal supplement in some countries. Personally I got one because of the quality games, not because of the chromosome type it awards you by default. Not at all. Did want the pink one though.

The DS is genderless anyway. That's the way consoles and games should be. Games "for guys" or "for girls" are stupid - just give me a game that's fun to play and doesn't make me clean horses or wash dishes

I've had the pleasure of playing with my girlfriend's sister's DS.

It's pretty fun, played Meteos for about 20 minutes before getting bored... so yeah.

I can't really see myself buying one, borrowing one off of a friend I could do though.

I like the DS my roomate has. She uses for random games, but I got the badass games like Tetris and Elite Beat Agents.
