No Gravity in "My Benifactors" is not a bug !

There was another thread on this topic and a lot of players seemed to think this was a bug, but this is NOT a bug. There is an easy way over the rail. I had the same problem as everyone else, intially, but found the answer to solve the level without a cheat.

When you start the level and you pick up the gravity gun, knock out the first wave of troops, but maintain your position.

Here is the spoiler. Look up from the starting position and you will see a tiny object floating way above your head. Use the gravity gun to retrieve it. Next, go to the rail (eliminating opposition along the way) with this object and place it on a 45 degree angle with the floor and top of the rail, with the forked end on the floor. Thats it. You simply walk up to the top of the rail, crouch, and presto - you're on the other side of the rail.

Man, this game is a blast. Since many thought this was a bug, it was worth posting as some players may want to replay the level and see for themselves.

No it is a bug - people have been unable to use the jump key when they should be able to.

It is NOT a bug. The item you need to get over the rail is supplied in the game at the start of the level. The jump key is not available in that level for that reason.

Yes, it IS a bug, because I was able to jump just fine, as were many others. Unless, of course, the bug is that you CAN jump, which is unlikely.

I can jump fine.

It's far less likely that they'd make you drag around some item than just give you the jump key.

I got so frustrated in that level because I couldn't jump. I tried for quite awhile to get over that ledge, thinking the jump was disabled for some reason.

I then reloaded the level and I could jump just fine. So, it's a bug.

I used a Breencast terminal as a ramp. And the second time I needed to jump I used one of those pods.

ROFLMAO, no gravity in My Benefactors in most definetley a bug. I was able to jump just fine and I played through the level a good 9-10 times on 3 different pc's.


The lengths that some fanboys go through to make Valve look better than they really are, its pathetic.

IF AT ANY POINT IN THE GAME YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO JUMP, ITS BECAUSE OF A BUG.

Not to sound like a jackass or anything but if it was "no gravity" you'd be floating arround. This bug would be considered "super gravity".

BTW, I have never personally experienced that problem.

The question's been answered already, and it was a bug small enough to be dismissed by a few in the first place. Calm down.
