No Sound?

Has anyone else experienced the problem of not having any sound after doing the download and install of HL2? When I start the game, the Valve intro has sound, but in game has none....not in Counter Strike either. Again, except for the Valve intro. Newest drivers already up to date for my Creative Soundblaster Family Value sound card.

I had the same problem until I went into the Options/Audio settings and set my speaker configuration to 2 instead of 4. I still got great surround sound out of my 4 speaker setup.
