Nova Prospekt chair

IN Nova Prospekt, in the chair room with the Vortigaunt that had the harness on, it occured to me that I never actually saw a chair or anything on Xen that looked like it was designed to use the loop on back(screen coming later) which makes me wonder, did the Nihilanth really build that or enslave them at all. I did not see that green metal anywhere else and the one in the chair had obvious Earth metals in construction.

So what is up

Yeah, the Nihilanth probably did something different, when he was in charge. Or is Nihilanth a she? Just a metal seat down there so I can't tell.
