Now what?

I dunno, I'm havin' a tough time with this game & I'm not a novice. Not used to the "moving & placing of objects" maybe. I'm early in the game, figured out how to get thru railyard but now I've killed off EVERYBODY but it seems there's nowhere to go. I have 3 crates & 3 oil drums. I guess I'm supposed to use them but to go where? In this screen you can see where I left them. I tried to get up high enough to climb over the fence. NFG:

Help please!

Wow. I believe, umm, turn around and hop over the fence. There's no use in stacking anything, because you simply won't get anywhere.

You don't need those, look around and you will see a vent.

Its like joule said, stand where you took that screenshot. Turn around 180 degrees. Go round the side of the building you are now facing. See that bent fence? Hop over the right hand end.

omg the graphics are so great i have to play the game now,

EDIT: Ah that was great, I'm still amazed by the graphics output of this game on my pci graphics card

You're welcome Keep an eye out for them, as well as the Lambda symbol (you know what that is, right? The big orange painted thing) because that means refugees have hidden supplies near there.
