...so if I display my copy of The God Delusion in my backpack in a place for all too see what sort of reaction would I get? :E

Also is the states a nice place for Brits to visit and what sort of weather am i likely to expect at this time of the year?? :)

See you soon.

I doubt anyone would care about your book unless you go to a church or something. I believe the temp is usually around 70 or 80 degrees F this time of year (sorry don't know what that converts to).

Temps would be nice but I bet the water is still cool (60's?)

Go to Disney world. :D

and the past couple times I've gone down there during Feb/March it was pretty warm for the most part.

great book, i also recommend

I was just in Florida two months ago, and it was hot, so now expect it to be quite hot.
Where are you going exactly? I was in Ft Meyers.

I live near Tampa. The weather is pretty good, but beaches and pools are probably out of the question.

And no, no one will care about your book.

Pesmerga and I have yet to meet up and make out even though we live so close together.

I used to, but I'm moving to Boston in July. I didn't feel like paying for school anymore until I got up there.

but beaches and pools are probably out of the question.

Beaches were packed when I was down, and pools were heated despite it being south Florida.
Tampa is only about an hour north of Ft Meyers.
As long as the sun is out, all day is pool day.

Then again, I live in Alaska where the water will kill you. :|

If by hot you mean like 50-60 degrees then yeah, it probably was "hot" in December.

Its 74 degrees out right now in Orlandooooo.

On a cloudy day it was around 60. On a sunny day it was closer to 80. Orlando is about 3 or so hours North of Meyers.

BTW I am Alaskan now but I used to live in Panama City/ Ft. Walton.

what part of florida are you going to?

and depending what part of florida you're going to, you'd probably get a better reaction out of a University of Alabama or Auburn football book, or some book titled "Why I hate nascar"

The ignorant masses will start salivating and gnashing their teeth in disgust, crying in futile attempts to suppress your superior intellect. Someone wearing a flannel shirt with the sleeves cut off, tattered jeans, and a baseball cap with a confederate flag on it will approach calling you a demon blasphemer, demanding that you return to Satan's eternal hellfire.

That area around Valdosta GA is my stomping grounds. :) In fact, Valdosta GA is where my uni is.

My crappy little town, which is in FL, is not even on that map though. :(

I've stayed in Jacksonville for 2 years too, (the largest city in the state btw) from 2005 to 2007.
