Old and new characters

I played all versions of Half-Life on this world.And I don't know if anyone of you notied...but in Half-Life Blue Shift you play with Barney and he doesn't talk,but in Half-Life 2 and Half-Life: Episode 1 he talks.For the difference of
Gordon:stare: .He just hate to talk lol.
I was thinking if in the Episode 2 some old characters come back it would be
great.Like Shephard......and what about Gina??? Ever heard for her?
I really never saw her except one time in Half-Life Redemption and one time in Half-Life Blue Shift through those cameras.Is it true that you play with
Gina in Half-Life Gold Edition? Because I was trying to find that game so I can buy it,but I didn't find it anywhere.Anyone can help?:|

I doubt we'll see any new characters in EP2 as it'll be yet another HL2 storyline continuation. It's not really a good policy to introduce important characters half-way into a story unless there's a new setting. I predict we'll see Odessa Cubbage first before we see Shephard. As for Gina Cross (Redemption is not an official HL product AFAIK) whom we played in the PS2 HL co-op mode named Decay, she and her assoiciates Green and Keller have their very survival in limbo as we never saw them leave Black Mesa. They have even less chances of making new appearences as you only need one person with a HEV suit.

I hope we’ll see some new (main) characters. A resistance leader of a base in the forest or the Kraken base maybe.

Just so you know, there is evidence that Barney talks, even if you never hear him do it.

Whenever you find a scientist, and you talk to them, they say "No, sorry. I'm not Rosenburg." So you lead them into the line of fire of the HECU.

What can people tell me about Redemption? I've never head of it.

And also, isn't there word of Decay being ported to Source? By a mod team?

In Opposing Force you can find a dead body in Xen that looks suspiciously like Gina's. I've always kind of assumed she was dead... Same with Keller and Green. Though ofcourse there's no proof that I'm aware of that proves such either way.

I would like to know what became of Rosenburg though.

I'd like to know what happened to Rosenburg and Keller, mainly. The two disliked each other.
