At the beginning of the game the g-man says to gordon freeman: "the right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world". THIS MUST MEAN THE GMAN IS FROM THE FUTURE!!! I THINK THE g-MAN IS THE RIGHT MAN IN THE WRONG PLACE AND THAT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD FOR GORDON FREEMAN!!!

Edit: Nevermind. It's possible you're incapable.

Well i like your evidence, but the theory isnt very good.

Ah, I didn't mean it as a personal slight. I figured maybe English wasn't your first language and you couldn't be clearer about it then realized that maybe there are other factors that contribute.

So, I'll ask again and hope I'm wrong.

Clarify the connections. Right now it just seems like grasping and I'm sure since you see this as an epiphany that there's probably more to it.

This is so farfetched than anything. You suck. How about Gordon FreeMAN?! OMG1!1111one Gordon is from future too because he has a word "man" in his name!! OmgfzroLOL1111!

I have to ask:
How old are you?
And are you my 10 year old moronic cousin?

LOOK there are 2 MANs, gMAN and freeMAN, in the beginning gMAN talks about the right MAN in the wrong place and that it makes all the difference in the world. NOW HE OBVIOUSLY MEANS THAT ONE OF THEM IS THE RIGHT MAN IN THE WRONG PLACE AND THAT IS HIMSELF; NOW GMAN MAKES ALL THE DIFERENCE IN THE WORLD FOR FREEMAN. ARE YOU PEOPLE STUPID? :frown:

WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT GMAN HIMSELF IS SAYING THAT HE IS NOT FROM THERE AND HE IS FROM ANOTHER TIME/DIMENSION

Wow, does everyone on this forum have to be such an asshole?

I'm trying to not be - I dont feel negatively towards the fellow. Things just went... wrong. :|

What did this person say that pissed everyone off so badly?

Yes
AND THAT IS HIMSELF
No

He is explaining to Gordon why he is waking Gordon up. Gordon is the catalyst, the 'right man in the wrong place'. It is Gordon who makes all the difference.

All that Gman cares about is what Gordon can do for him. Why would Gman even care if he made all the difference to Gordon? The only difference Gman cares about when it comes to Gordon is the one that Gordon makes.

End of story.

btw, posting in all caps = n00bness

how about... did you ever think that the gman is just like Q of star trek: the next generation? he's not necessarily from the future or past. space/time probably doesn't even concern him. did you notice how he can control it so easily? anyways, point is, you don't really have a point to your argument... i mean so the gman is the right man for freeman or something... so what?

How does he say that? He means that Freeman is the right man in the wrong place, just like he was back in Black Mesa. Now, G-man may be from another dimension anyway.

close, but no cigar

you read too much into it

its really much more obvious, ie

gordon isnt supposed to be there, but hes the right man for what needs to be done, and therefore he is sent there to change something which the gman knows needs changing
