One question b4 i play HL2.. Please help!!!

Okay ive started to play hl2 and i dont what the hell is the story about to be honest...like whos the guy on the TV chatting or why am I fighting humans????? and where are the freaky looking things from the 1st one...so im confused.....do i have to know all that happened in Halflife 1 to be able to play Halflife 2.....cuz i dont remember shit....in hl1 i just went got to that hugeeeee monster that was like 6 levels or something if u remember.....anywho back to my originial question. do i need to play hl1 one all over to know what the hell is going on in hl2..or would it be explained later on????

Well, a majority of us rebeat HL1 solely because of the problem your having, so the story is fresh in our minds.

Basically, I would replay Half-Life (or HL:S) if you want just so you can get the story, and just rush through HL1 with god mode on.

My best advice to you would to beat HL2, then go back and play HL1, and then rebeat HL2.

I suggest you play HL1 before you start HL2. You really need to because you won't understand what or who the G-man is, who the various characters are, and no doubt there will be some things in the plot of HL2 that we haven't seen yet, that will need you to have played HL1.

Well Im at RavenHolme and the story is still completely clueless to me.

I agree with the gamespot review in that respect.

i have played hl1 but didnt finish it prob. play about 80-85% of it..so i know who is gordon and what he does....i just dont no what the hell is happening to him..why are ppl treated so badly and who are these "officers" ....did u guys know all of this when u started???
