Why not? There are always HL2 members playing Diablo, Battlefield, etc, etc. So why not just make an online forum where people can post their names, when they are on, when they want to play, what game they are playing (like a thread for each game or something), blah blah?

That's already operational isn't it? Perhaps instead posting a few forums, Social Groups should be made in their place?

I fully support this idea. Social groups might be fine in theory but in practice, they are out of the way, can't contain multiple threads and don't get bumped via User CP and New Posts.
