Opening console ?

Hi there guys

im having problems opening the console in half life 2..

i press "~" tilde key and nothing happens.

1) yes i have activated it in advanced options.
2) i have tried pressing it in the pause menu as well.
3) i have even tried holding it in for 30 minutes

I think it may be because i use NTFS file system, but im not sure and a lot of people will probably laugh at me if im wrong

all help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.....

A little bit of help (but not much) I have the NTFS file system and I can open the console no problem. At least you know that it is not that causing the problem.

Might be worth a check, did you press apply when you came out of the advanced options?

Scandivanians can't get their console down. ;(

try adding the -console switch in the launch options

Right click on the steam icon in the lower right hand of your screen, them click play games, right click on hl2 go down to properties, left click on properties, left click launch options add in -console, then click ok, then close the propeties menu and start hl2.

go to the game, right click and go to properties, and then go to launch options, and add
-console
exactly.
