Please answer my question

when i try to download some maps, it takes like 30 minutes but when i download others it takes less than a minute? why is this? i know it's not because of my connection cuz i got a 100mbps ethernet connection at college.

i would say the maps that take longer have more content.

Server issues, presumably. I take it you're talking about maps downloading ingame via Steam? It'll be a combination of the state of the server that you're using and the size of the map that you're trying to download.

oh. ok. i thought there might have been some trick you needed to do with the console or something. thanks for your help

arent they hosted on webservers now? if so, they should be going pretty fast (considering most maps are like 3megs i believe)
