please help

my brother has half life 2, but he is at college so i cant borrow it to play, so could anyone tell me where i could dowload the full version for free. i have his cd key to use, so i dotn need that. please help

Well if he doesn't have internet at his college where he can potentially log onto his steam account while you're on it, just use his username and password and you can download it from the steam servers.

You don't need the CD key if he's tied it to an account.

hl2 does not work like any other game the cd key is tied to an account the only way you can play is if you use your brothers account

then you create a new steam account and register the cd key to that account using the "Register a product I already own" button. Then you must write down your username and password on a piece of paper and keep it safe because if you can't remember your user and password, then even the CD key is worth nothing since you can't tie it to another account without spending more money.
