Portal gun in episode 3? *PORTAL AND EP2 SPOILERS*

Well, as many of you may know, in the end of portal you turn up on the surface, possibily dead, for all we know. We also know that the Borealis thing has something to do with Aperture science. You think it's possible that at some point gordon crosses the dead body of the character from Portal, and picks up the portal gun?

Note that I'm obviously pulling this out of my ass..

Possible. My long time Russian homeboy has told me that in Episode 3 you are searching for the Aperture Science spaceship because it is the rival company of Black Mesa. That's all I know so far, not playing Portal before because my computer is the metallized form of a kid with one leg playing soccer.

Aperture Science spaceship? Are you talking about the Borealis? If so, the Borealis is just a ship (as is, y'know, a big boat), not a spaceship.

This is because if Gordan made two portals close enough together then he would be able to see himself through them, which some say ruins the "immersion factor".

Valve got a model of Gordon in Half life 1, why shouldn't he be in HL2 as well?

I just mentioned that this no-hands thingy isn't actually just in HL2, you use the mounted turrets in HL1 without your hands on them and else. And in Opposing Force you shoot the laser-guns without hands

I don't think you'll get the portal gun while playing as Mr Freeman. If you do i think it would be fleetingly and in a contained enviroment. Plus it would be a total mind ****.

In the Portal commentary they talk allot about special things and modified things in order to get the portal working, I don't see Portal being imported to HL2:EP3 it would be lame because most people wouldn't even know how to use it (tricks etc).

I think it is possible the portal gun will be in Ep3, but it will be much more constrained than how it was in Portal.

Eg:
- You don't get to use the gun itself, maybe Alyx, GLaDOS or Chell fire the portals for you to use
- You only get 1 half of the portal gun (blue portals only).
- It is only used in a very constrained environment, probably the Borealis. Levels that involve the portal gun must be very strictly designed to ensure you can't break them (ie, skip triggers or obstacles etc).
- Gordon can't neccesarily drop long distances without dying like Chell was able to.

I had an idea: Portal gun is visible for you, BUT... it's unreachable for you. And even if you used any way to get in there, you couldn't pick the Portal gun up.

We might see a few elements that utilize the concept of portals, but I highly doubt we'll be getting the ASHPD.

I think they will throw the Portal Gun model in there somewhere, but just as an easter egg.
