so if the combine wanted her husband to go to nova prospect for crimes he committed, why would they drag him out of the train, headding towards nova prospect?

What i find hilarious is the matter of fact he keeps saying "NOA MAH FEAREH IZ TRUEH!!!11!!one!" when it cant possibly be true because A) the combine dont have local teleportation technology (proving that he ignored the story of Half Life completly) and B) Portal occoured at the same time or even before the events of HL1. I may now say PWNED!

The (assumed) reason there were Xenians underground at Black Mesa was because thats where the Resonance Cascade happened. Apeture was quite a ways away, and (likely) remained ignored by Xenians.

If you've played flash portal mappack you might have a different opinion. While it's in no way canon to the story, GLaDOS does indicate that there's "something happening" outside, which I chose to interpret as a reference to the combine.

And it is here where you say once again your "theroy" is correct , even though it is pretty subtle , anyone with half a brain could see what you mean.

Also the combine have nothing to do with apreture , Nova Prospect is not as big as you make it out to be , Apreture is BIGGER than Nova Prospect and therfore cannot be inside it. And the two factions style are no where near similar to each other , the combine build monolithic structures (the citadel) and Apreture labs show a sleek and smooth hi-tech approach which is almost opposite to the combines dirty, monolithic , industrial look.

Well, me and my brother were recently playing Portal and Half-Life2. And we thought of this theroy they could be true.

At the beggining of Half-Life2, when you get off the train there is a girl at the gate. She says asks are you the only ones on that train. Probably on your first time you played it you didnt go up and talk to heri did. SO go an talk to her and they will say that the combine took her husband away to for questioning.

Here is were my theroy kicks in

The combine must take him away for questioning for reasons unknownI agree. He must be found guilty for the crime or whateva and they send him to Nova Prospect. or killed himBecause the lady at the gate was his wife, they must take her for questioning Evidence please and find out that that she was also involvedEvidence please. The place thy send them to is to Apature Science which had been abandoned for years because the creators went crazy they were killed and they built the crazy GLaDOS they build GLaDOS. Then they send the lady there why? Evidence please. The lady turns out to be the main character that you be on portal They look different. That explains why if you look at her through the reflection of a portal or from usng third person view, she is wearing the orange convict clothes maybe that's because it's the test subject uniform. And the writing on the wall is from the other people that were sent their as convicts, including her husband or not.
