Problem in Riding Shotgun Chapter

I apologize if there is already a thread on this. Couldn't find one so here goes.

I'm in the Riding Shotgun chapter and I've made to the radio tower where you encounter the hunters (5 or 6 of them I believe). I've taken out all the hunters and, from what I've read online, I believe Alyx is supposed to follow me back to the building that has the radio to send a message. After that the gate is supposed to open and we continue our adventure.

Here's the problem, after killing the hunters, Alyx just stands there staring into space and won't move. I've tried backing up to various save points and have killed all the hunters at least 5 times over. Every time with the same outcome. Alyx just stands there.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Does anyone know of an update, patch, fix, console command, ANYTHING that might solve this problem? Or is it user error and I'm just leaving out something I'm supposed to do before she follows me back to the radio room?

i think that is game's bug!
Do you have ep2 pirated or not?

Steam > Games > right click > properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache ?

Get dressed > go out to car > go to walmart > purchase EP2 > go home > Install > Profit

That or you could get it off steam.

Granted, this is if the above scenario doesn't fix it.

Thanks for the idea Kupocake, but that didn't work.

As for the rest of you comedians.

I purchased the Orange Box when it first came out. Since then I have installed a new drive in my computer. When I went to reinstall Ep. 2 I couldn't find my discs so I downloaded it from Steam. It was running fine until I got to this point.

Have you tried starting a 'new game' from the Riding Shotgun chapter start? That may give the game the refresh you require...

Also, when you say you 'go back' to the radio room, perhaps not going there in the first place could straighten things out? Go to the barn where you get trapped with the hunters as soon as you arrive, since the first 'scene' in the radio room acts only to push you to the barn. (It's Unlikely but not inconceivable that a bug has developed itself into some later update and no-one has noticed it, since most repeat players skip straight to the barn.)

Cheats could cause a problem if you've got any turned on... (though, if you'll probably be turning them on if the problem persists!) otherwise I'm all out of ideas. You didn't have any problems in the earlier chapters?

I haven't been using any cheats so far, but I think your right. I may give it a try to get past this part.
