problem loading game

hi... i'm new to here.

I'm first time playing Half Life 2 game on Vista.
I dunno what is going wrong to the game, everytime i try to reload the saved game, all the enemies inside the game freeze like no response... they wont attack you and they dont talk to you... but you can attack them... what is the problem actually? Is it save file problem or ...?

Hey, welcome to the site! If we could have some specifications of your computer, that'd be sweet. First off you want to run the standard checks like verifying the game files, updating drivers and the game, etc.
There's also a chance that the A.I. is turning itself off, there's a console command to re-activate it but at the moment I can't remember, it might be enable_ai...
Also, did you buy your copy of Half-Life 2, or get it in some other way?

I'm using Vista basic, AMD x86 3500++, 1gb ram, 128mb Nvidia Geforce 6150 LE video card with driver version 162.22.

A.I stands for Artificial Intelligence, and turning it off just, well makes them "turn off".

Think of it this way, everyone exept you is a robot, when A.I is off their On/Off switch in on "off". Turning A.I on,in a manner of speaking, turns them on.

I know I'm not going to me a huge contributer to this problem, but I would just like to voice my opinion here.

Vista sucks. There's your problem.

lol: no steam = you are a dirty theivin pirate. all legal versions make you install steam first. buy the game. i heard the illegal one is broken and does that all the time. thats why your game doesnt work, cheepo. theres nothing you can do about it except buy the game. hahaha
