Problem with sound..

When i mean sound.. I mean for my whole computer.. I tell you the story what happened..

I dled this block checker for MSN which over time wrecked my PC.. so i did a fresh installation of my computer..

My computer now works 99% nicely.. except for the fact.. I got no sound.. I will give you all the info you need to find out my problem..

The name of the driver is C-MEDIA AC97 I installed all windows updates and i searched for updates for the drivers and I installed em.. and it still doesnt work..

hmm check the bios to check to c if its not turned off and unistall the drivers restart then install them again but u said it all started when u installed the blocker or w/e it is

Between MSN and AIM, I'm somehow tempted to say that the Microsoft product is the lesser of two evils. The truly l33t use IRC.

Onboard sound, right? AC97 stuff is generally considered to be Crappy. A while back my onboard AC97 sound refused to play sound from the right. I got a cheap eight-dollar sound card that sounds much better than the onboard thing did.
