processing time for hl2 by vendi

For those people who think that hl2 can still come out in late October early November here is some bad news. Halo2 went gold, and was handed over the Microsoft for distributing on the 4th, and is set to be released on the 5 of November. This just goes to confirm that the late November leased date may be accurate, as it seems to take a month to distribute.

Huh? This doesn't mean anything. Max Payne 2 came out like a week after gold. If Vivendi wanted the same, they would have done it. They are just holding back until holiday season.

Ummm, different games have different length in gold. I remember on June 10th WarCraft III went gold *A HUGE RELEASE duh* and it came out July 1st/2nd.

Sometimes console games seem longer, but Halo 2 is still going through testing, it went sorta gold, but since it's a console game they need to test it longer.

Don't compare two games, it depends on how fast VU wants to print it. I still believe late October is very reasonable due to the fact that Valve is pushing VU weather they like it or not.

HUGE CORRECTION: Halo 2 has not gone gold.
There has been no official announcement. The developers have said that it is "done and dusted", but that is all. They are up to the RC stage just like our beloved HL2.
