Hello,

Do any of you have tips on how to properly place props to make a map look prettier and more realistic?

I know that this is primarily dictated by common sense: "think what kind of objects would be laying in the area of the map you are building by remembering what that part would be utilized for in the real world". So for example, there would be wooden platforms standing against the wall near a loading/unloading bay of an industrial building because those are used by forklifts, and discarded milk cartons are generally found alongside of smaller roads because there is no police and speed is slow enough to throw them out of the window.

The secondary consideration is how it looks: does blue plastic crate look better in that place or is yellow more appropriate? Does this area have a lot of large objects and small objects, but lacks medium size objects to have enough variety in scale? Etc, etc.

Please share your experiences and any tips on prop placement, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you,
Val
