I think Sony knows what there doing... its just that they had a bad launch... according to the internet.
But the Ps3 wasn't supposed to get all there money back in the first few months.
It's going to sell fine in the coming years, and thats were they'll get there money back tenfold.

Also there aren't any good games accept motorstorm and a few others.
There are going to be PS3 exclusives that will make alot of people buy it.

The only people that make money on their hardware in the first few months is Nintendo. And everyone so far has had a pretty weak launch really. The Wii wins imho, but only thanks to TP. All three systems will do just fine, but hopefully Nintendo will get the most marketshare because I want games that don't focus on slick graphics and such as their main claim to fame. (I am adventure gaming fan, so of course I like the Wii's possibilities the most :E).

sony cant say sell it at this price, its up to the company to make that desision. i work for a company that sells PS3's the the head office people decided to go along with the price raise because they were tired of losing money for every ps3 they sold. Sony asked the company's to sell at this price, and they will make it up in controllers and games, but they didn't because most of them went on ebay first. so after so much loss company's just raised the price where they would make a few bucks off of it. sony is still selling the consoles below cost to the companies, but the companys are refusing now to take sonys. So the price increase is not sonys doing.(well directly)

I know that feeling. When I turned 16, I jokingly asked my father if he was buying me a car, he laughed at me. I bought my first car for $500. When I'd break it, he'd help me fix it at least. When I told him I was going to move out, instead of being the protective parent, he went out on a limb to let me learn the world the best way possible...the hard way, and said, "You need any help moving?" I love how I've had to work for everything, because I would hate to be a spoiled brat who gets shit handed to him, though life would be easier.

And for the love of god, knocking somebody because they live with the parents and make money? I'd understand if he was throwing it in your faces about having more money because he's better than you, but christ...don't take your jealousy out on him.

PS3 is the shit! Playing old school games that i haven't played in years on progressive scan is bringing back some very good memories. (Twisted Metal, Crash Bandicoot, Metal Gear Solid. etc etc.) Besides im waiting on a few PS3 games that should be out in the near future. Not to mention Silent Hill in HD is mind blowing.

I heard there might be a price cut by Q3 07 or Q4, but that is pure speculation. I'll probably end up getting a PS3 as well. It definitely will have some rock solid games on it. Plus, Twisted Metal FTW!

I don't know. He MIGHT be able to afford it if he doesnt have a car. After all, he lives in New York, and i hear most people who live in New York take public transport to work because its faster and cheaper than driving.

Cant plug a PS1 into a 60''. Even before the update from sony. Games without built in Progressive scan were just impossible to play. Blurry, cant read any text or see anything really.

Ya I updated the console. All the games look great for PS2. My TV is an HDTV but not a very good HDTV. I've been playing Okami like mad after they fixed the graphics issue. I'll get a good HDTV eventually.
