hello
i have some wired proplems with the smd-exporter (i guess it is the exporter)
what i do:
make a model
weight it
export it as smd
-------------------------
if i reimport this smd back into the mod tools all weights are correct .. same like the sorce model
BUT (and thats the problem)
if i compile this smd to a mdl (or even import it into 3dsmax) the weights are lets say .. 20% off... it seams some vertices loose some of there weight information
so if vertex 1 has weights from bone A B and C it hase than only weights from A and C ..
i mean its cool that the smd stores the right data (bc i can import it into xsi without problems) but thats useless as long it doesn´t work in halflife2
i think it has something to do with the amount of weights per vertex but not for sure..
