Verry nice contrast /saturation. I think the frame goes verry well with the pictures.

I never visit this forum, but I really liked those pictures :D

The picture with the slide-mirror made me say "That's awesome" in real life!

I agree (:P). When I took it, I didn't think much of it, but now that I look back on it, I love it. Thanks!

You definitely have a knack for picture taking man.

I love you! :D

I'm kind of mad right now. There was a chick that fell out of its nest and was chirping quite loud. So I went and picked it up to put it in a shoe box (it was raining, tried to get it out of the rain). Then I ran inside to get my camera after I realized what a picture that would make. Getting so close to a baby chick got my photography boner going. I came back and it was gone. I guess the mother came by and helped it along towards the nest.

So I was looking for the chick (he didn't fly away, just hopping) and the parents started dive bombing me. One after another they were getting increasingly close to my head so I gtfo'd. I managed to snap this (right before it took off towards my face).

Take some BW.

It's a shitload of fun. You really have to think about the contrast, shape interaction, and lighting, much more than with colour.

And if you do it right, it looks a million times better than colour.

Btw, I want your babies for that highres..

Yep. I've been wanting to do some people shots in BW. BW adds so much emotion to people shots. I think I might head down to the Arts and Crafts show going on. But old people are boring.

<3 Geo, high

Got some bird pics today while grilling up some burgers.

Man, those are some cool shots Qonf. That cat sure looks angry, oh no!

If I ever see any of those cat pictures turn into /b/ pics, something bad will happen.

I really want to macro those cat pictures...

I like the bird ones though :D

Took these tonight at a girl's baseball game.

We won 16-6.

Cool, I'll be getting a Pentax K100 in the very near future.

http://www.pentaxslr.com/bodies/k100

Of course, not from that site.

My parents used to be big camera junkies and they have loads of old pentax lenses and filters, so I'll be all set. While all of them don't have auto focus built in, the standard 18 - 55mm lens that comes with it is auto focus.

Mm, very nice. The more I work with my S3 IS, the more I wish it was a DSLR. The big price tag is what's hindering me (plus I just got this camera). For $300, it's an amazing camera. I just wish it had better high-ISO performance (anything above a 200 ISO is too noisy for my tastes which makes lower-light situations hard) and a manual focus ring. The auto focus on it is superb but in some situations a ring would be ideal. It does have a manual focus, but it's interface based which renders it useless.

Yeah, my mom had a Power Shot for a while, one of the older series, and it recently broke.

They just invested in a new camera, I'd have to look, but it was some kind of Panasonic.

Yeah, I probably wont be using much of the auto focus on mine, especially with macro pictures.

The feeling of me wishing my camera was a DSLR grows each time I use it. Maybe I could sell it on eBay for close to $300 so I could get a D40.

I've been in a photography funk lately, but here a few that I've taken recently.

(I particularly love the reflection. It cuts the picture in two.)

Update: I've been bidding on a Nikon D40 tonight, winning one. So expect an influx of pictures soon. Sorry I haven't updated... the camera that I had, while excellent for the price, was too hindering for me to really use (and the lack of feedback). This new entry-level DSLR will fit my needs perfectly.

I like the photos, but they are abit generic, nothing that makes them yours really. I would love to see more original takes on the settings you photograph.

Ah yeah. I guess all photographers always go through the "yay flowers lol" and other generic subject phase. Hopefully I can tone my eye to be on the look out for different objects. Small update:

I volunteer at the local after school day care. We were playing Texas Hold'em and using pogs for chips.

Seagulls are probably the easiest birds to photograph. All you need is some old bread.

And one of the man behind the camera:

I came.

Oh now that's just precious. *pats your head*
