Hello, i had a few questions maybe some people can clear up.

What part of half-life 2 is currently being worked on?

In the multi-player will we get to see maps from hl1? Datacore any one?

Will their be a program to transport hl1 maps to hl2?

Will Half-life 2 be at e3 or is it you guys at e3 with something else?

i have some more but these were the ones that ive been wondering for a whyll.... that and the benchmark.

You might want to ask ray_man to bung those questions into his interview, if he gets it.

Valve people arent known to look here, but you can send them an E-mail with your questions, but they've got even busier recently.

Lets see.

1) General touching up almost certianly. Theres no way they said Sept 30th and havent nearly finished now. Perhaps adding a few features they dropped due to time constraints.

2). Maps from HL1 will easily go to HL2, just a recompile away. If they aint the community will do it in about 1.2459 seconds (roughly)

3) See 2.

4) Oooh don't know, if its not out then almost certainly, even they can't miss E3

2) No.

3) Yes.

4) Yes and they will show something new, either CS2 or TF2. Since CS:CZ ISN'T EVEN OUT YET, I doubt we'll see CS2 at E3, so best bet is on TF2.

And yes, I'm totally speaking out of my butt.

Actually-it was mainly becuase they never reply to lower peoples email like me. I dont run a web page and i dont work at ATI. Basicaly i know they do look her on occasion other wise gabe wouldnt have posted his plea to find the hacker.

Steam seems to be working VERY WELL atleast for me the content deliver speed is awsome!

If they are takeing so much longer maybe they are finding a better way to put halflife1 into the halflife 2 source... in other words... half life 1 with hl2 graphics.. druels

The only truth to this post is the last line..

CZ has a release date of March 23rd (I believe), and that's the official one last I checked.

na i dont think they would be doing that.. but i could see it as a later project or mod. i dont really see why they would delay HL2 so that they could recreate HL1 on sourse its not logical :/

JJ is that was a pisstake at my answer. Then I suppose I better qualify it.

My answers are just guesses based on information I've read, and extrapolated to today. I'm not a Valve employee and dont know any inside information. But I've sent Valve an email and they've replied. If its something they want to keep secret they probably wont answer (like the MP questions, they are keeping tight-lipped about that). Almost all the posts in the Valve Info thread are from average joes like me and u .
