Question about the Steam media

Hey, I just downloaded Steam and also the G-Man movie off of it. Impressive stuff. Anyway, the movie is only 60 something MB, but there is another file called "gcache.gcf" that is 400 MB. Now I noticed Steam was downloading something in the media section after the G-Man movie finished, but I don't know what it was.

Is this thing a small part of a larger movie or just a glitch that I can delete?

Think of the windows swap file. Now imagine Steam with something simliar. EI: Don't mess with it.
