Question on HL2

You buy the retail version, at lets say Gamestop for $49.99 then it comes with the full retail version of Hl2 and CS:S. Then after that DOD:S and TFC:S come out, and you want to play those but you wont be able too, what happens? Do you have to buy them each seperatly through STEAM?

i think its so that you will buy off steam
so that steam increases their sales
and decreases VUg's sales
