Oxygenetic said:It's from a German magazine called PC Games. As for the comment, he's right, there isn't a reason for a rating, should just recieve a monument. But my question is; why did they not give it a perfect 100% if they enjoyed it so much?
Goombatommy said:Just imagine for a second tho, if Valve did include; even if it was the simple basic DM, TDM, CTF and/or King of the Hill. Imagine how it would have boosted the ratings and reviews for the game. Just imagine..
someone please translate this. its on http://www.half-life2.de/news.phpHalf-Life2.de: Hallo Herr Gooding, bitte stellen sie sich kurz vor.
Was hat Half-Life 2, was Doom 3 und FarCry scheinbar fehlte?
Dirk Gooding (PC Games): Wieso soll Half-Life 2 keinen eigenen Mehrspieler-Modus haben?
Dirk Gooding (PC Games): Klassenprimus
to put it short, noI think that the team at Valve have a few surprises yet in store for us,surprises that not even the game magazine reviewers had access to,dont completely dismiss the possibility of valve including a hl2 multiplayer as a out of the blue shock to gamers,or at least including it in an expasion pack of some sort.
Mind you I have no facts to back this up,maybe just wishfull on my part ,in any case time will tell.
WorldLingo.com Translation said:Half-Life2.de: Hello Mr. Gooding, please they introduce themselves briefly.
Dirk Gooding (PC Games): Dirk Gooding, leading editor with the PC Games. Was to before two years active member with mTw - most might know theclan (Quake had 2 CTF/DM and UT easily).
Half-Life2.de: As one first they were allowed to play the final version of help Life2. It was a test like every different one, thus only occupation routine, or was the long-waited Top hit of valve nevertheless somewhatcompletely special?
Dirk Gooding (PC Games): Thomas's white and Heinrich Lehnhardt are the actual "testers" of theplay. I locally about the organization of the test and the Screenshots forthe article worried, could play thereby naturally also extensively. Already alone therefore for me "no test was like every different one". And which concerns help Life 2: I did not play a better Shooter so far yet.
Half-Life2.de: Doom 3 (PC Games valuation: 90%) and FarCry (PC Games valuation: 92%) were probably free of doubts the past Shooter highlights of theyearly 2004. Help Life 2 fared with a valuation of 96% however importantly better. Which has help Life 2, which was missing to Doom 3 and FarCry apparently?
Dirk Gooding (PC Games): Alternation, Idea wealth, Speed, Detail falling in loveness, Atmosphere, Hammer diagram with moderate hardware prerequisites... and Gordon Freeman.
Half-Life2.de: Unfortunately help Life 2 has no own Multiplayer, but for it Counter Strike contains: SOURCE. The missing Multiplayer part in the valuation was considered or flowedCS: SOURCE instead into the valuation?
Dirk Gooding (PC Games): Why isn't help Life 2 to have an own multi-player mode? Is there a better than Counter Strike? =) mark in Ernst: That help Life 2 without Deathmatch, CTF etc.. one delivers, does not please surely everyone. But valve could have sold Counter Strike SOURCE also loosely as statusalone product, instead of bringing it free of charge with help Life 2 among thepeople. And which concerns the valuation: The multi-player mode gets its own valuation in the PC Games, the 96 points are the play pass valuation for the Singleplayer part. Counter Strike SOURCE was tested separately by us, inclusive player statements of well-known clan such as Mousesports, sk and n!faculty.
Half-Life2.de: If they had to describe help Life 2 in a word, which would be this?
Dirk Gooding (PC Games): Klassenprimus
Half-Life2.de: On Wednesday the output appears the PC Games with the hot expectedhelp Life 2 Review. Call they three reasons, why no help Life 2 fan at the purchase the PC Games comes past.
Dirk Gooding (PC Games): 1. Because it is the first and largest test in Germany before release. 2. Because the texts and pictures of the article no questions leave open. 3. And because more than 30 hours in the flier, Was situated, 8 days hotel rooms with air conditioning with firmly locked windowsand a Riesenwaufwand with writing and Layouten of the article to havein vain been may not =)
Half-Life2.de: Thank you for the discussion.
