Ah right I don't know why I put that as the thread title but some guy on another forum kept calling it ragdoll lol. True tiny bullets but the weapons in the half life series are far superior to those currently available in real life. The game crashing when you pick up the buggy if I recall is because of its limitation rather than the grav gun. Anyway if boxes are going to be that hard to break there should at least be some reason for it like "it's a special type of wood" or something but rather these seem like plain boxes that would be rather easy to break...What does this have to do with ragdoll physics? Methinks you have some misinformed terminology. You're talking about basic rigid body physics. Ragdoll physics are what you see when you kill something like a combine soldier.
Anyway, what would you expect tiny bullets to do to a wooden box? They may cause a lot of damage to an enemy but when you think about it physically, it's not going to cause a box to explode into a million pieces, just make holes.
Also, the super gravity gun was not made to handle objects outside of where you're supposed to have it.
e.g. the game crashing when you pick up the buggy.
Absolutely incorrect. It was simply a bug because the game wasn't designed for it. It was fixed in Gmod. The game crashing when you pick up the buggy if I recall is because of its limitation rather than the grav gun.

I was going by how you can pick up objects just as large as the buggy without any issues, for example the airboat can be thrown around with no problem.Absolutely incorrect. It was simply a bug because the game wasn't designed for it. It was fixed in Gmod.
Did you read anything I said?
Try shooting a wooden crate with a gun in real life and see how easily it breaks.

The guns Freeman uses are more powerful than those available today though... I understand your argument but I still think the wooden boxes are a little too durable.
How large it is has nothing to do with it. My guess is it has to do with the wheels on the buggy. That part of the physics engine not working well with whatever it is the super gravity gun does.I was going by how you can pick up objects just as large as the buggy without any issues, for example the airboat can be thrown around with no problem.
Where the hell are you basing your information!? The USP and MP7 are both weapons available today. And as far as the fantasy weapons, we have no idea how efficient they are at breaking wooden crates. I still think you are not understanding the concept of a bullet being able to make HOLES in something but that doesn't mean it's going to cause the whole structure to shatter into pieces. The guns Freeman uses are more powerful than those available today though...
