???rank???

I have been a member of these forums for a few days and i have a question about that ranking thingy under every persons name which is a bad guy(exp: fast zombie,scanner,ant lion)

What exactly is it!

is it a ranking that you have to upgrade to a stronger enemy.
If it is then HOW do you rank up.:O

It increases with your post count. Don't think you'll just get a higher one, the longer you're registered.

Yeah welcome to the forums. And please do not post like a mad man just to get your post count up to get a new rank every like 1000 posts. Because at least one of the following will happen:
1. Most members will not really pay attention to you.
2. Your post count will be rest back to 0 making you a Scanner again.
3. Well it is just uncalled for

It is a ranking system. The more active you are in posting, the higher it gets.

Not all forums have ranks that are meaningless. He looks kind of new to forums, if he's never seen ranks before, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him think that ranks have actual significance other than a textual title that has no effect on anything.

It's funny how every and any time a new member mentions the word 'rank' or 'post count' someone immediately tells them to not spam to get a higher post count

We do this based on awesomeness, contribution to the community, helping people, humour - et cetera. The good are rewarded. The wicked suffer. Slowly, people who the staff hold in high esteem climb up the ranks until finally they reach a point where we, the staff, believe they are worthy of ascension. After that? Well, if we told you, we'd have to kill you.
