niether they both suck. The face hugger can go up walls and shit but it takes a longer time for it's prey to be infested, headcrabs only need two seconds or so, face huggers are stronger,faster, and meaner. Headcrabs evolve like baby headcrab,headcrab,zombie,fast headcrab, fast zombie, big momma.

For all we know, it could've, quick, everyone, invade the experimental facility called Black Mesa, that is in Antartica, I believe Gabe was there to witness it, the destruction!
Seriously though, that would be scary, having real headcrabs swiming in the ocean, its very possible, we barely know half of the oceans, and what is in them.
