Red spot on my monitor

I have a SyncMaster 245BW monitor and there's this random red spot i noticed showing up on the screen.

my desktop is completeley black and the red dot doesn't show up then but when i drag something with color over it it show's up. Anyone know what to do?

It's a single pixel? Sounds like it's stuck. There are a few ways you can go about trying to fix it, all found on wikihow:

i had it...then it dissapeared

I had one on my laptop screen, same thing, showed as red. Luckily, i now have it output'd to a 40" Bravia as my new screen, and no stuck pixels! yay!
