I have known about this since about a month before release but I decided to not post anything up until now when we could laugh at them and realize that there would be absolutely nothing they could do. I can't seem to find the original thread that warned us about it so i'm sorry about the lack of information for someone new here.
Anyway remember how the "champions clan" as they called themselves had been threatening to go on a massive spoiler attack on the day of release of HL2? Well at one point I e-mailed Doug Lombardi about them saying that if there was anything they could do about them it would be greatly appreciated, I wasn't expecting anything but then one day after sending the e-mail I went back to their site and was faced with this message on a plain white screen:
Normally I wouldn't have posted this but I felt I needed to give credit to Valve for this good deed to the community.
I also would not have posted this in off-topic but general discussion would just be suicide.

I just couldn't stop laughing, Valve did in fact do something and I found a whole new level of respect for Doug Lombardi. This message is still up if you want to see it, i'm not sure if Munro wants me to post the link though.
