Removing God Mode

Hi
I wiped my hard drive and didn't save my save-games and as i'd got up to "Follow Freeman" i got a save-game point off a friend but when i play it i cannot die (which is no fun to me) so does anyone know how to remove the god mode or where i can get a clean save game from?

Or, you can just do "New Game" and select the chapter that you were on.

God mode is cool when you wanted to admire stuff in the game
